The project aimed to climate-proof UNDP’s Area Based Development Programme in Uzbekistan. Key activities included review of vulnerability and risk assessments, current adaptive capacity, and other climate change initiatives in the country; identification of priority adaptation needs; preliminary exposure assessment; identification of key program areas in need for adjustment; recommendations to better manage climate change risks/ opportunities; development of climate proofing methodology/ tool; training of UNDP staff; and modality for climate proofing to become part of development assistance programming routine in Uzbekistan.
