- At least Bachelor’s degree in journalism, international development, liberal arts or other relevant social science fields
- Demonstrated experience in translation and documentation of high standards

- Facilitate translation (English French or vice-versa and others) of knowledge and communication products including policies, reports, infographics, audio-visual materials, and website content among others in collaboration with key departments and projects within RIMES.
- Liaise and communicate with partners and member states for preparation and conduction of key events including stakeholder meetings, consultations, conferences, workshops.
- Support in translation of text and emails to French (and vice-versa) and follow up with francophone member countries on the priorities related to RIMES masterplan and workplan priorities in close coordination with DRM specialist.
- Assist in interpretation of stakeholder meetings, consultations, conferences, workshops and documentation of outcomes adopting professional vocabulary and terms to convey the intended meaning of the original texts (or speech) after comprehending the specific context and background of the content.
- Work closely with thematic specialists from RIMES program unit to support in coordination with francophone nations along with support with them for liaison during the RIMES council meeting. Translate internal and external documentation/ reports/ materials from English to French as required through professional comprehension and writing skills.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of documentation practices coupled with ability to communicate complex/ technical text and concepts in simple language.
- Proof-read, edit, revise, standardize and finalize original or translated material for further approval.
- Participate in regular team and project meetings and perform any other relevant duties and responsibilities related to content development at RIMES, as required.
- Closely track and document tasks and activities and provide regular reporting to the supervisor.
- Carry out task as assigned by Chief of Special Programs and members of senior management team.
